During the COVID-19 pandemic a lot of focus was placed on proper air ventilation, including at the UCDSB.
Executive Superintendent of Business Services Jeremy Hobbs says they’ve reached an important milestone in ensuring all their sites have reliable airflow.
Hobbs says it’s easy for some properities, but others will take a multi-year effort.
As of now, 30% of UCDSB schools are fully air conditioned, 66% have partial A/C while 14% have none whatsoever.
Hobbs says a plan’s in place to raise those numbers over the next few years.
