The OPP’s Grenville County Detachment is investigating a shooting that took place in the early hours of Nov. 2, 2024, in Kemptville, North Grenville.
Around 1:30 a.m., officers were called to a medical clinic on Somerville Road after an alarm was activated. Upon arrival, police found evidence of a shooting and damage to the building. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and no one was on the property at the time of the incident.
The OPP has stated there is no threat to public safety and assures residents that the situation is under control. The investigation is currently led by the Grenville County OPP Crime Unit.
Police are seeking assistance from the public. Anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area during the time of the incident is encouraged to contact the Grenville County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or anonymously through Ontario Crime Stoppers.
