Perth’s Town Hall will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Remembrance Day, the town announced.
The Perth Landfill will also be closed the following day, Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the town’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Great War Memorial Cenotaph, which begins at 10:50 a.m. This solemn event honours veterans and their sacrifices, and all are welcome to attend. Attendees are reminded that the event is walk-in only, as no parking is available on-site.
Following the ceremony, the Perth Legion invites the community to join a special dinner, providing a warm setting to reflect and remember together.
Other municipalities in the region have similar closures in effect, encouraging widespread community participation in Remembrance Day events.
