Lanark County Paramedic Services Chief Travis Mellema received the Richard J. Armstrong Leadership Award at this year’s Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs Honours and Awards Gala.
An honour he told myFM he’s still processing.
Mellema said he wouldn’t be able to accomplish these feats without everyone contributing.
The award is one of the highest honours in Ontario’s paramedic profession and recognizes paramedic leaders who exemplify outstanding leadership while driving progress and innovation within the field.
Mellema celebrates 20 years with the LCPS next year. He also worked part-time in Renfrew for eight and a half years.
