Toby Randell was elected Lanark County Warden for 2025.
He becomes the first Carleton Place mayor to hold the seat since Paul Dulmage in 2009.
He said he’ll continue to focus on the taxpayer.
Randell made brief remarks following his win.
He also thanked his family for encouraging him to pursue the position, even though it will mean more work and time away from home.
Randell defeated Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry, who was seeking her second term as warden after having the seat in 2021.
