Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP John Jordan spoke to Lanark County Councillors earlier this month during a Corporate Services Committee meeting. Jordan emphasized that his office is committed to supporting municipalities and discussed key provincial priorities.
In health care, Jordan highlighted a boost in annual operating funding for hospitals, improvements in human resources, and new local capital resources. He also praised the community paramedicine program and confirmed ongoing efforts to increase long-term care beds.
Jordan addressed the projected rise in OPP costs, assuring that the Ministry is working on a solution. As Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, he shared plans to boost Ontario’s production, consumption, and exports. He also spoke about provincial infrastructure priorities to meet housing demands and potential funding opportunities.
Warden Steve Fournier thanked Jordan for his accessibility and commitment to the region.
