Lanark OPP responded to a fatal single-vehicle rollover on Black Creek Road near Loves Road on December 7, 2024, around 3:20 p.m.
Emergency crews found a small sedan overturned in a ditch with one person trapped inside. A 41-year-old Lanark woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
The collision shut down Black Creek Road for seven hours while OPP collision investigators, a reconstructionist, and the Chief Coroner of Ontario examined the scene.
Lanark OPP and emergency responders, including Lanark Paramedic Service and Lanark Highland Fire Services, worked together to assist the injured and secure the area.
Police remind drivers to exercise caution, especially during unpredictable weather conditions, as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
