For 2025 the Town of Smiths Falls has proposed a budget of $210K, representing 1% of anticipated tax revenues, for community grants to support programs, services and activities
administered by community organizations, volunteer groups and individuals, which improve the well-being and quality of life for residents.
For groups requesting $10K or more, an appearance before Council is required to detail their asks and explain how funds will benefit residents. At Council’s recent committee meeting ten such groups attended.
