With an election call just days away, candidates are being announced in local ridings.
Fiona Jager has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes in the upcoming provincial election.
A registered nurse and nursing professor, Jager specializes in community outreach, mental health, and addiction. She advocates for government policies that link social justice, sustainable practices, and personal wellbeing.
“I’m proud to stand with the Ontario Greens as we push for better healthcare and equal opportunities for all Ontarians,” Jager said. “We need a government ready to invest in programs that address the root causes of social issues in our communities.”
Mike Schreiner, leader of the Ontario Greens, praised Jager’s dedication. “Fiona will be a strong voice for the community and a steadfast advocate for improved healthcare access across the province.”
Jager lives in Gananoque with her husband and three children.
