The Ottawa Senators have, for the first time in years, become a factor in the NHL’s Eastern Conference playoff race.
With a front-row seat to what has been a great season, is the voice of the Ottawa Senators on 88.1 myFM, Dean Brown of TSN 1200.
Brown tells myFM there’s been a big change on the blue line, and it shows.
Brown says we’ve also seen some players step up when called upon as injuries take key players down. Especially at the goaltender position.
As the league approaches the Four Nations Face Off on February 12th, the Senators and the rest of the NHL is looking ahead to the trade deadline.
Brown says Ottawa has to be careful at the deadline, because they’ll be looking for the same kind of depth that other teams are looking for too.
Brown says the team doesn’t want to give up to much for a run now, when they’re only going to continue to improve.
