The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Drummond-North Elmsley resident with further offences involving multiple youth victims.
Lanark officers initially arrested and charged a 17-year-old male on January 20, 2025, following an investigation into sexual assault allegations.
On Tuesday, February 12th, officers arrested the same male as a result of the ongoing investigation and charged him with three additional counts of sexual assault, and another count of assault.
Those are in addition to charges that were laid January 20th.
In total, the youth now faces four counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, and three counts of uttering threats.
The accused was released on conditions following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Youth Court of Justice in Perth at a later date.
The name of the accused will not be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and to protect the identity of the victims.
