Crews in Lanark County, Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, and surrounding areas are working around the clock to clear snow following two massive storms that dropped about 70 cm of snow last week and over the Family Day weekend.
Major routes are mostly cleared, but some may need further work.
In towns, streets are still a work in progress as large snowbanks narrow many roads. Crews are prioritizing the most-used streets and moving to lesser-used routes as they become available. County crews are also clearing snow from County Roads, with major routes cleared and smaller routes being tackled next.
Residents are asked to be patient as crews continue their work and to avoid areas where cleanup is in progress.
With the ongoing efforts, the region will be cleared as quickly as possible.
