The 18th year of the Build a Mountain of Food campaign (or BAM) has proven to be a resounding success.
The 6-week, 11-community initiative, which relies heavily on the support of dedicated sponsors and volunteers, was able to make a significant impact across the region.
RCL Automotive’s Chris Craig and Jim Wright organize and execute the campaign every year. Craig says the public stepped up, even in trying times.
Craig is grateful for his corporate sponsors like RCL Automotive, Hinton Auto Group, Hometown News, and 88.1 myFM. He adds, so many people step up to make it happen.
Overall, the six-week campaign collected over 200,000 lbs of food and raised substantial funds to assist local families.
Craig is also encouraging residents to donate to local food banks throughout the year, if possible.
