A Woodstock man has been charged with impaired driving after police stopped a transport truck on Tatlock Road in Mississippi Mills.
Lanark County OPP responded to reports of poor driving on Highway 7 on February 19 just after 8 a.m. Officers arrested the driver, 48-year-old Paul Elton, and transported him to the Carleton Place detachment for testing.
Elton has been charged with impaired operation under the Criminal Code and additional offences under the Highway Traffic Act and the Liquor License and Cannabis Act.
His license has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 31.
