A water main break has led to the temporary closure of River Street between Elm Street East and Oak Street in Smiths Falls.
The Town of Smiths Falls Utilities Department is actively working to fix the issue.
While the town’s water remains safe to drink, residents may experience fluctuations in water pressure or notice discoloration in their water.
Residents are advised to limit water use while repairs are underway and to check for discoloration before washing light-colored clothing.
The repairs are expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. today.
