A collaborative drug trafficking investigation, Project Arlington, conducted by the Brockville Police Service and Gananoque Police Service, has resulted in the arrest of eight individuals, over 50 criminal charges, and the seizure of significant amounts of drugs, weapons, and cash.
Launched in the fall of 2024, Project Arlington aimed to dismantle violent criminal networks and disrupt illegal drug distribution in the region. The investigation led to the execution of multiple judicial authorizations, uncovering a large quantity of narcotics, including over 2.5 kg of cocaine, 1,800 methamphetamine tablets, and 600g of MDMA. Officers also seized a loaded restricted handgun, four long guns, and more than $100,000 in proceeds of crime.
The accused face numerous charges, including drug trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and firearms-related offenses.
Project Arlington was made possible through collaboration with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Biker Enforcement Unit, OPP Community Street Crime Unit, and the Smiths Falls and Cornwall Police Services. The investigation was funded by the Ontario Government’s Ministry of the Solicitor General, with support from Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario.
