Lanark County received a $600,000 one-time grant for an affordable housing project.
It’ll go towards Carebridge Community Support’s 63 Halton St. property in Perth that’ll feature 15 affordable units.
But Carebridge must receive a permit from the Town of Perth to later submit to the county by March 21st in order to meet the province’s spending timeline or they’ll lose the money.
Perth Acting Mayor Ed McPherson says they’re doing what they can to expedite the process.
Lanark County Director of Social Services Emily Hollington broke down the other funding.
