
Our riding’s boundaries have been redrawn, and are in effect as the federal election campaign begins.
For the first time, Kingston will not be included in the Lanark-Frontenac riding. A 2021 boundary review moved Kingston north of Highway 401 to become the Kingston and the Islands riding.
Incumbent Conservative Scott Reid is running once again. He’s held the office since 2000.
He’ll be facing Michelle Foxton who is running for the Liberals. She is a lawyer and former councillor for South Frontenac.
None of the other parties have confirmed a local nominee as of Monday morning.
