At Perth council’s recent meeting local well-known author Arlene Stafford-Wilson received the Town’s Architectural Conservation Award for 2024 along with fellow historian and author Ron Shaw. Arlene pointed to the origin of her compassion for this area’s historic buildings.
Never one to rest on her laurels, Arlene is busy working on another book highlighting some of Lanark County’s great family-home architecture.
Her nomination form outlined the fact that she is a respected genealogist and researcher whose books bring the stories of Heritage Perth to life.
