The Lanark County OPP has charged a 36-year-old Ottawa man following an investigation into intimate partner violence.
The incident occurred in early February in Carleton Place. A warrant was issued, and officers executed it on March 21, 2025.
The man faces charges of forcible confinement, uttering threats, assault, and failing to comply with probation.
He was held in custody and recently appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth. To protect the victim’s identity, the accused’s name will not be released.
