On Monday, March 31 at 7:00 PM, Zion Memorial United Church in Carleton Place will host a public meeting to address critical issues facing Lanark County youth.
A recent survey of Grade 10 students by Planet Youth Lanark County (PYLC) revealed concerns about physical and mental health, sleep deprivation, insecurity, and early substance use.
The event will feature youth-led discussions from ACHIEVE, PYLC’s youth advisory committee, and key survey findings.
Dr. Michael Ungar, a renowned expert on child and family resilience, will share strategies for promoting youth resilience in the community.
The meeting, also available via Zoom, will set the stage for future resilience workshops led by Dr. Ungar on March 31 and April 1. Registration for the event is available on Eventbrite.
In collaboration with local youth centres, PYLC will continue to engage the community in developing prevention strategies. More details are available at www.planetyouthlanark.ca.
