
Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes is a federal electoral district in eastern Ontario that has been represented in the House of Commons since 1979. The riding will be renamed Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands—Rideau Lakes following the next federal election under Canada’s 2022 electoral redistribution.
Geography
The riding includes the entire United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. Major communities include Brockville, Gananoque, Prescott, Kemptville, and Westport.
Demographics
According to the 2021 census, the population is 91.3 per cent white and 5.6 per cent Indigenous. English is the main language for 91.7 per cent of residents, while 3.2 per cent speak French. Christianity is the leading religion at 60.6 per cent, with 37.7 per cent reporting no religious affiliation.
The median income is $41,600, and the average income is $51,040, based on 2020 data.
History
The riding was created in 1976. Conservative Michael Barrett has represented the district since winning a 2018 byelection.

Barrett has served as the MP since 2018, first elected in a byelection. He previously worked as a municipal councillor in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, a military lineman, and a human resources manager.

Paul Lancione, NDP
Lancione works in financial services and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
Randi Ramdeen, Green
Ramdeen was born in Prescott and has run for the Green Party before, most recently in Toronto during the provincial election in February.
