Smiths Falls council is getting down to the particulars with the new water tower.
The project has gone incredibly smoothly so far with Public Works and Utilities Director Paul McMunn providing an update.
At this point council is looking at the esthetic, deciding on how to paint it.
Councillor Chris McGuire suggested town commissioning a mural.
Instead, the majority of council chose to proceed with option 4, which features the town’s logo and slogan, “Rise at the Falls,” in large lettering on a white base with the bottom half painted blue.
McMunn anticipates the paint lasting for at least a decade.
They expect to commission the water tower in December.
