The Township of Rideau Lakes has announced the 2024 winners of its Business Recognition Awards, celebrating the top local businesses making a difference.
McMullan Appliance & Mattress earned Business of the Year, recognized for decades of service, with over 100 appliances and mattresses on display and full-service delivery.
Stoodley’s Kitchen and Beverage in Elgin picked up the Small Business Award for its house-made pizza, burgers, salads and patio charm.
The New Business Award went to Clearly Auto Glass, praised for its mobile service and repairs on everything from trucks to tractors.
Thirty-one businesses were nominated, with 167 nominations submitted. Former mayor Ron Holman, Cindy James, and Amber Coville judged the awards.
The April 16 breakfast ceremony also featured greetings from M.P. Michael Barrett and Warden Corrina Smith-Gatcke.
With 460 local businesses in Rideau Lakes, the Township encourages residents to keep shopping local all year long.
