Conservative Candidate for Lanark-Frontenac Scott Reid feels his 25 year tenure as MP is an advantage.
Reid is one of the longest serving members of parliament, and puts little stock in the notion that a long tenure results in residents wanting change.
He told myFM he continues to work on long-standing issues.
Reid’s reminding voters he donates part of his salary as their representative.
He was first elected in 2000 and has directed those funds to various causes over the years.
Reid’s late father Gordon founded Giant Tiger, with Scott serving as its Vice-Chairman before taking over as Chairman during the COVID-19 pandemic when his father stepped down.
