Paloma Mazer, Executive Director of the Perth and District Chamber of Commerce, says this past weekend’s Festival of the Maples brought in vendors from all over the region to the town, while also showcasing local businesses.
More than 180 vendors were on hand for the one-day celebration of all things maple, and the rainy weather didn’t seem to dampen spirits at all.
And Mazer says the Festival may draw them in, but the town is what brings people back through the year.
Mazer also knows that it takes a massive effort by a large group to pull a festival of this size off every year.
Plans will shortly be in the works for next year’s festival, set for the last Saturday in April.
