
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has appointed Al Horsman as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
With a wealth of experience in municipal leadership, Mr. Horsman has previously served as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer in Ontario’s City of Guelph, City of Sault Ste. Marie, City of Toronto, and City of Kawartha Lakes, as well as the City of Maple Ridge in British Columbia.
Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance and CFO for EComm911, providing emergency services across British Columbia.
Warden Corinna Smith-Gatcke expressed confidence in Mr. Horsman’s leadership, stating that his experience would be crucial in helping the Counties facilitate growth and reach its goals.
On his appointment, Mr. Horsman shared his enthusiasm for working with Council, staff, and the community to deliver on the Counties’ strategic initiatives. His leadership will focus on fostering collaboration and sustainable development in the region.
