
Two wanted males Lanark County OPP put out public calls for have been located and arrested.
51-year-old William ‘Willy’ Scharf of North Grenville was wanted for an April 11th incident where a firearm was discharged at a Drummond-North Elmsley residence earlier this month.
He was arrested at a Lanark Highlands Township residence on April 24th and faces 17 charges:
- Assault with a weapon – two counts
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Assault
- Uttering threats – two counts
- Mischief under $5000 – two counts
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – two counts
- Pointing a firearm – two counts
- Discharge a prohibited firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Fail to comply with Prohibition order
- Driving under Suspension
Scharf had a bail hearing April 25th.
On Monday April 28th, police arrested 24-year-old Dylan Greene of Mississippi Mills, who was wanted on three outstanding warrants and is facing 20 charges.
They relate to two incidents on April 15th and April 23rd in Drummond/North Elmsley and Carleton Place.
Greene’s full list of charges are:
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause property damage
- Uttering threats of bodily harm or death – two counts
- Mischief under $5000 – three counts
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – two counts
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition while prohibited – two counts
- Trespass at night
- Break and Enter
- Fail to comply with Probation order- three counts
- Driving under Suspension- two counts
- Driving no insurance
- Driving with plates unauthorized
Greene had a bail hearing April 28th, and was also the subject of warrants in other jurisdictions.
