At Perth council’s recent meeting, Councillor Isobel Anne McRae reported that the Darou Farm Working Group reviewed the results of a public survey on potential uses of the Town-owned property in addition to the planned off-leash dog park, which received 290 submissions.
She stated there was a decided theme to the public’s wishes for the future of the lands.
Many survey respondents expressed a desire for walking and biking trails and opportunities to interact with nature for residents of all ages.
McRae reported on the plans going forward with the help of Town Director Cathy McNally
Work on the dog park at the farm is expected to begin later this spring.
