McHappy Day is here, locally raising money for the expansion at the Ottawa Ronald McDonald House.
Local McDonald’s restaurant owner Tim Carter sits on the board of the Ottawa House, he says the work is a significant improvement.
He says that means more families can be close to one another at what can be a difficult time.
Carter says fundraising has gone very well too, as they looked to raise millions of the close to $23 million cost.
