The nomination period has offically closed and the candidates have been determined for the Rideau Lakes by-election to fill the vacant South Crosby seat.
Jordan De Long wants to represent the ward, telling myFM he’s the sixth generation to one of the original settling families, and his third generation grandfather sat on council.
The husband and father says he wants to focus on improving the area for youth and young families.
De Long said he doesn’t want to focus on the ongoing turmoil with council, rather move and look ahead.
He tells myFM his ultimate goal as a councillor is to shine the light on the beautiful Township.
South Crosby residents can vote to fill the seat left vacant following Joan Delaney’s resignation from June 21st to the 26th.
myFM will be highlighting each candidate this week and again closer to election day.
