A 31-year-old man has been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation in Perth.
Lanark County OPP say the incident happened on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at a home in town. Officers arrested the man, who now faces two charges: assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 9.
Police are not releasing the man’s name to protect the victim’s identity.
The OPP is reminding the public that victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault are not alone.
