The Lanark County Food Bank is calling on the community for help as its inventory runs low this summer.
The food bank’s top three items in urgent need are baby and toddler food (jars or pouches), baby/toddler cereal, and 4T/5T pull-ups.
Summer is typically a lean period for local food banks, and these essential items are in high demand.
Residents can drop off donations at the food bank located at 84 Mill Street in Carleton Place on Mondays or Wednesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Alternatively, donations can be arranged by calling 613-257-8546.
All food banks in our listening area are facing shortages. Donations are always welcome and usually accepted at local grocery stores.
