A North Glengarry man is facing serious charges after a suspicious fire destroyed an uninhabited home in the village of Elgin on May 10.
Leeds OPP and Rideau Lakes Fire Department responded to the fire around 12 p.m. No one was injured.
Following an investigation by Leeds OPP and the Crime Unit, 34-year-old Eric Seguin was arrested and charged with arson, break and enter, and theft under $5,000.
Police say Seguin broke into the property before the blaze occurred.
He has been remanded into custody.
Police are asking the public for help. Anyone who may have dashcam or security footage from the area is urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
