
Lanark County OPP charged a 32-year-old man following an intimate partner violence case in Carleton Place.
The incident happened on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, just before 8:30 p.m. The man faces charges of forcible confinement, assault, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was arrested and held for bail. His first court appearance is set for May 15, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.
The OPP did not release his name to protect the victim’s identity. The police remind victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault that help is available.
