The Perth and District Community Foundation’s new home at 77 Gore Street East was packed with supporters and grant recipients to celebrate their new more spacious office.
PDCF awarded its first grant in 2002 and, since then, has distributed over $3,000,000 to local community organizations.
Already this year, they have distributed more than $300,000 in Community Grants. B
oard Chair David Poole noted the importance of locating in downtown Perth.
The expanded space will allow the Foundation to hold workshops for local organizations that have received grants as well as to host meetings for members of those groups.
Foundation ED Victoria Gibb-Carsley was astounded at the level of support given by Perth and area groups and residents.
In June, over $21,000 in scholarships and bursaries will be awarded to 22 graduating high school students at Perth and District Collegiate Institute, St. John Catholic High School, and TR Leger School of Adult, Alternative, and Continuing Education.
