The Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a theft investigation in Perth.
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, officers responded to a theft in progress at a business in Perth.
Three suspects fled after stealing approximately $1,000 worth of alcohol.
The were seen heading eastbound in a truck on Highway 7.
Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop and three people were arrested at the scene and several containers of alcohol seized.
Thomas Fast, 24-years-old of Ottawa, has been charged with:
· Theft under $5000
· Fail to comply with release order – two counts
· Possession of Property obtained by crime
Keith Wennekes , 51-years-old of Gatineau has been charged with:
· Theft under $5000
· Possession of property obtained by crime
Patrick Langdon, 51-years-old of Ottawa, has been charged with:
· Possession of property obtained by crime
· Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
· Fail to surrender insurance card
· Drive with obstructed plate
All were given local court dates.
