The Lanark County Housing Corporation is moving forward with a major upgrade at one of its residential buildings.
The Corporation has signed a $138,000 agreement with TK Elevator to modernize the elevator at 24 Bourke Street in Smiths Falls.
The project, which includes a deep energy and accessibility retrofit, comes as parts for the current elevator—last upgraded in 2001—are becoming difficult to replace.
The new elevator will come with a 12-month warranty, though ongoing maintenance is not included.
