From May 30 to June 1, 2025, Carleton Place hosts its Freecycle Weekend to help reduce waste and keep usable items out of landfills.
Residents are invited to place items they want to give away at their curb with a clear “FREE” sign starting Friday, May 30. Only items labeled free should be left outside.
Neighbours can tour the community to find free treasures but are asked not to idle their vehicles while stopping.
Any items not taken by 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 1 must be brought back inside, as the Town will not collect leftover items.
This event is organized by the Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee to promote recycling and reuse within the community.
Freecycle Weekend offers a great chance to clear clutter responsibly and discover unexpected finds while protecting the environment.
