On Saturday May 24th, Carleton Place played host to the Ottawa chapter of Ride for Dad with their own Bike Night at Market Square.
It was a celebration of the great work of riders raising money for the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation to fund ground-breaking cancer research and life-saving awareness campaigns to benefit the area where the money is raised. Carleton Place Mayor Toby Randell describes the event.
This year, the Ottawa Ride for Dad is marking their 25th anniversary and chair Mike Anderson tells us how it all started.
To date the Ride for Dad has raised over $43 million for the Prostrate Cancer Fight Foundation and registration is now open for the June 7th edition. Go to ridefordad.ca for all the details.
