Carleton Place’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot at 128 Patterson Crescent is now open each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The depot allows residents to safely dispose of hazardous household waste.
The service is available only to residents of Carleton Place, Beckwith, Drummond/North Elmsley, Montague, Mississippi Mills, Smiths Falls, and Perth. Proof of residency is required at the depot.
Residents should check the town’s website for a full list of accepted materials before visiting. Items not accepted will not be taken.
The depot provides a safe and easy way to handle harmful waste that should not be thrown in regular garbage.
