A 36-year-old man from Smiths Falls is now facing 12 charges after police looked into a series of intimate partner violence incidents across Lanark County.
Lanark County OPP say their investigation began March 9th and concluded June 1st, touching on several locations including Carleton Place, Beckwith, and Montague Township.
The individual has been charged with:
· Obstruct Peace Officer- two counts
· Take motor vehicle without consent
· Assault – three counts
· Mischief under $5000
· Drive under suspension – four counts
· Stunt driving
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
