The Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) proudly raised the Progress Pride Flag at three local healthcare facilities on Monday to kick off Pride Month.
Flags now fly at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, Almonte General Hospital, and Fairview Manor.
The Lanark County Paramedic Service (LCPS) also joined in, raising the flag at its headquarters and continuing its tradition of wearing rainbow epaulettes through June.
Ceremonies took place at all three MRHA sites and featured remarks from MRHA President and CEO Brad Harrington, Human Resources Manager Angela McLean, and Director of Care Amanda Becking.
Staff, community members, and the MRHA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee gathered for group photos and interviews celebrating the alliance’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
