Curbside leaf collection in Carleton Place ended on May 9, 2025, and any remaining bags must now be removed from the curb.
Residents can bring leaf and yard waste to the Compost Yard at 1 Bates Drive. The facility is open Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
To get there, take Townline Road to Industrial Avenue, then turn onto Smythe Road and finally left onto Bates Drive. The Compost Yard is located at the end of the street.
The site is for local use only, and proof of residency is required upon arrival. The Town reminds residents not to leave bags curbside past the collection deadline to keep streets clear and safe.
