A fire Tuesday morning in Smiths Falls resulted in Lombard St. closed alongside a couple of businesses.
The Smiths Falls Fire Department received the call around 8:45 AM to attend a call of billowing smoke at the Subway and Pizza Hut.
Police closed the road from the southwest side of the Walmart intersection to the northeast side of the Starbucks/Napa Auto Parts intersection while the SFFD alongside support from Montague Township worked the scene.
myFM attended the site but were referred to a forthcoming media release for comment and additional details.
The Subway owner also declined to speak publicly about the cause of the fire.
