Montague Township says one of its firefighters was hospitalized for heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation following Monday’s fire at Subway in Smiths Falls.
The firefighter was released the same day and is recovering at home after receiving some liquids and has no serious injuries.
Police closed Lombard Street for several hours as crews worked to get the scene under control.
