The Downtown Heritage Perth BIA has announced a new initiative, the Junior Volunteer Entrepreneurial Program, designed to give area students, this summer great opportunities for community involvement along with helping them develop skills in business and leadership. Perth Council BIA Rep Isabel Anne McRae explains the benefits for participants.
The program is open to local students, aged 16 and up, who haven’t yet completed their 40 hours of mandatory community service. P
Participating business owner Angie Whyte of Shadowfax, a strong supporter of the program, explains how her own student placement turned into a great and successful career.
The pilot program has enlisted eight local businesses for a wide variety of experiences for youth.
