
Lanark Highlands Township is receiving $178,000 from the province to revitalize the Watson’s Corners Community Hall.
It’s part of a $2.1 million investment across Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston through the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.
“The Township of Lanark Highlands is incredibly thankful for this grant that will help us move forward with much-needed renovations to the Watson’s Corners Community Hall. This building has served our residents for many years, and these improvements will make it safer, more accessible, and more functional. We’re excited to get started and see the difference this investment will make for our community.” – Chief Administrative Officer Suzanne Charbonneau-Dent said in a statement.
Other municipalities that received funding include:
The Township of North Frontenac – $310,473 – funds will be used for the rehabilitation of Plevna Sports Centre
The Township of South Frontenac – $665,000 – funds will be used for the rehabilitation of Centennial Park Recreation Hub.
The City of Kingston – $1,000,000 – funds will be used to enclose Culligan Water Park
