A 72-year-old man from Tay Valley Township has been charged in connection with historic sexual offences involving two youths.
The Lanark County OPP launched an investigation on June 17, 2025, following allegations of sexual assault that took place between 2018 and 2023.
The man was arrested later that day and is now facing two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 and two counts of sexual interference.
He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 21, 2025.
Police say the name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victims.
