Kids are off school soon, and that means that need will go up at Food Banks across the region.
The Smiths Falls and District Food Bank’s Natalia Soteroff says they want to get an important message out to the public.
Soteroff adds the demand comes at a difficult time for donors who may be seeing expenses rise during the warmer months.
That makes for some serious challenges for Soteroff, her staff and volunteers who see stock deplete quickly.
The easiest way to donate food is at our grocery stores who have bins for the food bank on hand.
Cash is always welcome, just contact the food bank to find the method that suits you best.
We’ll have more with our local foodbanks as we count down to the 88.1 myFM All Hands on Deck Food Drive on August 21st.
